    @REALBROWNZ u are right in the essence of the origins of heave body ink, but the topic discussed in the documentary was the origins of chicano ink which was when they said the zoot suit era and from there on

    hmmm…wait so there is no history of the Aztecs or other tribes of having tattoos in the culture? of course there is! and that indeed influenced the Mexicanos/Chicanos to keep that in the culture than just picking it up from others around them. idk i mean some people might dislike how the majority of chicano culture but it was indeed in the past and now a part of the culture…

    Midget loco is bad ass no doubt but the ink is the influence of Polynesians and indians from india who originated INK. In LA/Cali body suits, heavy tattoos all came about from the Samoans period. That is a fact. Chicanos all draw influence from Samoans on the Westcoast.

    Brother that image on your head is not the sun god…>!!!
    it is called Tlaltekuhtli!!! and it represents the earth!
    Tlalli= earth, tekuhtli= man, person, lord…
    lord of the earth!

    That is what’s wrong with most our people…….sporting so called ” aztec” imagery but don’t actually follow or understand the depth of the meaning.
