@juhotheonehanded Name finnland is actually over 1000years old… Used to mean region Proper Finland (varsinais-suomi) then there was Jemia(RUS) or Tavastland(SWE), And karelia/koradel. And lappland and kajanaland.

@juhotheonehanded The world exept for Nazi Germany abandond Finland. Your country was thank fully spared by Stalin. Remember that The western allies the uk and us wouldn´t mind if the Soviets took it over. They would simply just let Finland be taken over just like they let poland, estonia, livonia and numerous others. So you should blame them for not doing any thing and not Sweden.

Siellähän on myöskin Ruotsin lippu.

Unfortunately you`re wrong. Finland`s current land areas existed before swedes took them under their rule but there was never a land called “Finland”. Some other names there was for that land, but there were several tribes and some really small kingdoms in Finland and that cannot be called as a country.

Also, swedes sended a lot of help to us in Winter war and in Continuation War – all of them were volunteers. In Winter War there was a group of 8000 men strong fighting alongside us.

@carlhungus89 Finland existed before it was ”united” to Sweden. Finland existed when it was united to Sweden. Finland existed when you pussy swedes left us alone to be conquered by Russians. Finland was granted independence, but we had to fight for it. Yet again you sissy swedes stayed out.

Our history with swedish is only in the timespan between 1204 – 1809. Finland did exist 3200 before christ. Keep your history, ours is something to be proud of.

  23. comment number 23 by: no16na39

@SteveMcStone Finland was partly united with Sweden until 1809. Finland however has never been Sweden or Swedish but Suomi Finland. Learn the difference.
