Reinventing the Tattoo – 2nd Edition

July 11th, 2010

In this long-awaited second edition to Guys educational book, he has upgraded the format to a full-color, 368 page hardcover boxed edition, including a DVD with 40 detailed video clips that relate directly to material in the book. Rather than being a simple AZ guide, Reinventing The Tattoo taps into Guys unique vision and his 20 years in the tattoo profession to provide an inside look into what it takes to improve your overall artistic ability and to put these skills to work on skin to get the results that you want. Although still following the same basic format as the first edition, the text has been trimmed down, cleaned up, expanded, illustrated and captioned to make for an educational experience unlike anything else available in the tattoo industry. Whether youre an experienced professional or an apprentice working in a supervised setting, this book and DVD can provide you with valuable new tools for improving your work. Reinventing The Tattoo is for professional tattooists only!

man. why would you call YOURSELF a scratcher.

well.. at least hes honest. Most guys dont even know how to lay a simple line and say they are the best, then teach on you tube.

great work from Guy I love this…but didn’t really see much technique Im not aware of, if you’re a natural artist there’s not a whole lot you can learn from this, and this is coming from a skratchie

I still say bullshit…even the “MAsters” eventually fell into the hands of a professional who showed them the proper and more efficient ways to tattoo.
I agree that not everyone starts off as a badass and all that.

ummmmmmm not true look at some of the “MASTERS” they had no training to speek of an now your saying they r still scratchers??? if thats true every one should be glad to be called scratters now i dont care about them as long as they play it safe for them selves and others.

I agree. This book and DVD are amazing tools. I already knew all the machine tricks and stuff but the art lessons are priceless.
